AN AFTERNOON IN THE FIELD
Family Story
A warm visual story about reunion, connection and the quiet comfort of being together.
The Story
This session was built around a family reunion. The children had come to visit their parents, and none of them were especially comfortable in front of the camera.
They were naturally more reserved, so instead of building the session around poses, I wanted to give them something to do and a place to discover together.
We chose a location they had never visited before and treated the session almost like a small afternoon outing — walking through the field, exploring the space and eventually sitting down to play cards, something they already enjoy doing as a family.
The idea was simple: remove the pressure of being photographed and create enough movement and familiarity for their real dynamic to show.
The Visual Direction
The mood board helped define the color palette, wardrobe, textures and atmosphere of the session — soft natural fabrics, earthy tones, faded blues and details inspired by the landscape.
It was not about recreating specific images, but about creating a visual language that supported the feeling of the story: relaxed, nostalgic and familiar.
