A quiet visual story about solitude, imagination and the private worlds we carry with us.

The Story

The Girl in the Bookstore was a personal project built around the idea of a young woman who feels completely at home among books — curious, introspective and comfortable in her own company.

What made this story especially meaningful was that the person I photographed felt like a perfect match for the character I had imagined. There was a natural alignment between the fictional world I wanted to create and her real personality, which gave the session a sense of honesty and ease from the start.

The bookstore became more than a location. It became part of the character — its shelves, textures and quiet atmosphere helping shape a world that felt intimate, nostalgic and slightly removed from the present.

Rather than building the session around poses, I guided it through small actions: browsing, reading, wandering between shelves and simply existing in the space.

Some encounters feel as though they were meant to happen. This was one of them.

The Visual Direction

The mood board helped define the atmosphere, styling, color and movement of the story — not to recreate specific images, but to establish its visual language.
